Performance Skills workshop

In this workshop a professional theatre director / acting coach works with the participants to develop their dramatic presentation skills. Having the outside eye of a trained theatre director focus on the way you move, speak and interact can quickly turn you into a more confident and self assured person.

Learning outcomes

- increased awareness of self and others
- increased self assurance
- increased empathy with other people
- performance skills

This workshop is designed to make you more aware of yourself, more aware of how you work with others, and more aware of what you communicate to the world.

Depending on the length of the workshop, and the director leading it, this experience can take on a number of forms.
However, the director will begin with a series of exercises to encourage self and group awareness, following by a variety of games involving trust, status, relationships, group communication and teamwork.
This will be followed by the investigation of improvised scenarios (leading towards work based recognisable environments), from which the group can relate to their everyday/working life.

If required, this workshop can be more focused towards delivering a speech, or giving a presentation, if the client so wishes.

Either way, the experience of watching others, as well as participating yourself in such exercises and improvisations is an enlightening experience for all involved.
